WHO WE ARE
The Amarillo Police Officers Association exists to serve our members in seeking safer working conditions, adequate compensation, and ever improving relationships with both the department and the citizens we are sworn to protect. We will commit to maintaining membership and relevance in our community by active participation in benevolent causes, seeking to better our city through our actions both on and off duty.
The Amarillo Police Officers Association is currently made up of 300+ sworn full-time employees of the Amarillo Police Department. The association was formed in 1980 and has provided a voice for our members over the past four decades. We are an organization that represents its members to effect positive changes in the work place. The association promotes benevolent, charitable, civic, patriotic and fraternal activities. As an association, we support local non-profits and organizations within our community. We are proud to serve the citizens of Amarillo.
